Thanks Marg., Yes I know but Moorabbin was 3kms from home and had been going there for about 12 years - not too big., familiarity with the volunteers and equipment and other researchers., times suited., and all those fiche I had ordered over the years and had been retained for reuse now unavailable - spoilt I guess even the volunteers were bitterly disappointed. Genealogical Society of Victoria (GSV) of which I am a member in the City handle the films so I do have options but not so convenient.
