Hello Jenny Thank you very much for all your help. I am pretty sure that the people listed in the 1851 census below are the right family but wanted confirmation from the baptism records. I couldn't find Joseph on that census but he is back with Ann and children for censuses from 1861 through to 1901. Unfortunately, that is the only census that John appears in with his family. I did try to get a copy of John's birth certificate through the GRO references but could not read entries on the fiche. I sent away for brother William's certificate which does show him to be a son of Joseph HEWIN(G)S and Ann DENLEY who married at Hailes in 1843 and confirms ideas I already had. I am 99% sure that John is his brother but wanted to make certain. Thanks again Jenny. I am often doing research in Norfolk and sometimes in Suffolk so if there is any research you would like done in either county, please let me know.
