Les, The information is from the discs I have for Births, deaths and marriages in Gloucester. Although the LDS records are helpful I am findng few descrepancies with their records as opposed the my discs which are from the oficial church registers. Yes, I viewed Josephine's map. It certainly clarifies the locations in regard to each other. Two of the places you are interested interested in are quite near to each other to the North and the other two which includes Henbury are a bit further away to the north west, that is if I have read the map correctly. My family in Somerset remained in the same place except on three occasions. A son was born in Tikcenham, his older brother in Canninton close to Bridgewater (quite a distance apart one being north nearer to Nailsea and also Gloucester and the other quite South, both boys were then baptised in Weston-Super-Mare sooner to the date of the second son born in Tickenham. All the other children were born in Compton Bishop and then the family remained in and close to Axbridge. I do not know if you have considered this. But I am making a time line (chart). Before the marriage of the grandparents in the Axbridge area there is absolutely nothing on any availablbe records. I am hoping that with the time line I may be able to concentrate my search efforts pin pointing families with similiar surnames in these areas. The father was an 'AG' and I have to incude the possibility that the family moved around because of work opportunities as well. So this new direction may lead absolutely no where. Have almost exhausted all the available data both on the internet and from the SRO but I am going to give it one more shot.
