Hi Janet, The term, Non-Conformist refers to Baptists, Methodists Independents and the like. I think that Roman Catholics, Jews and Quakers would be referred to as such. Jews and Quakers could hold marriage ceremonies, and probably Roman Catholics as well but there weren't too many of each group. All of the others had to be married in the Parish Church up to some time in the mid nineteenth century, so if you were able to gain access to the Tewkesbury Abbey registers you might well find the marriage.
