Dear all, Below is the note I posted recently. I had a suggestion that a couple called William Gill and Eliza both born Moreton-in-the Marsh might be the people I have been searching for. However, my William Gill's wife Elizabeth had already died by the 1881 Census and he went to live with one of his children. I wonder if there is anyone who could try to find the birth date and place for my William Gill born abt. 1807 Stroud and his wife Elizabeth also born Stroud. There is nothing v. much on the various genealogy sites for Stroud and as I live too far away I am unable to search at Records Offices so I am unable to go back any further on this family.
