I have a similar problem with the name DINES, esp when it comes to seaching newspapers!! JOYCE, another of my names always throws up the given name as well as the surname. It's a pity there's no way of specifying that it's a *surname* that's wanted. -- Charani (UK)
I have a very awkward name to search for as well "BRICK". I get Brick walls, Brickyards, Brickworks, etc. Eveline ----- Original Message ----- From: "Charani" <familyhunter@family-hunter.co.uk> > JANETHESKI@aol.com wrote: > > > I can understand your problem with the names WALL and LAND.... Just thought I would add to this. If you go to the advanced search type in your name plus another search phrase. This maybe a city or county, then click th box mark "all words" or similar you can also search for exact phase, this allows you to put in full names. This is the case for many search engines. There is also an area which searches entry's from outside the a2a website, not sure how, but in my search for Elizabeth Allen on the a2a site I clicked on an interesting entry and was direct to the Ancestry site??
