Hi, There is a gentleman who lives at Kidwelly and who has done a lot of work on the history of that area who is certain that they are the same family and in my family the name is written in all 3 ways over the years. The one not thought to be related to the Dyfed Dwnns is John Donne, but do not know more than that. I'm sorry that I can't help with the name of the man in Kidwelli but I was told by someone in Dyfed Family History Society that he had met him and been taken around Kidwelli and told of a book of the Dunn family up to about 1700 or possibly a little earlier. As my Dwnn married into the Phillipps family, I was more concerned with them.
