    2. Gloria, I have connections with some OWENS in that area, though mine were probably a bit later in arriving there. They came from a long-established family in North Nibley, which is not far away. My Owens were in Yate, Iron Acton and Westerleigh in the 1840s & 50s.     3. Hi Jeff, Benjamin Owen was from Filton but his was wife was from Westerleigh. Traditionally marriages took place in the brides hometown church.
