    3. Hi Charani No, I had come to that conclusion quite a few years ago when I had checked the GRO and bought the certificate that it had been a myth and believed that until yesterday. My gran's brothers were all older, the youngest was put in an orphanage (he was about 10), the others were all at work. When my gran's mother died she asked her sister to look after my gran, and so my gran moved from Cheltenham to Birmingham, and from then on called her aunt 'mother'. On speaking to the daughter of the brother that went into the orphanage (Bill), she said Bill had always spoken of his twin sisters. This has thrown a spanner into the works. My nan had been told by her aunt she was a twin, too, so all this is very odd. I think I shall leave it to lie now, because it will drive me mad if I don't, but I am very very curious.
