Dear Phil Can I help at all? George WORLOCK is my Great Great Great Grandfather. Worlock is the spelling there are a couple of meanings I've found, not sure which is best, there is from the old english Waeloga meaning capable of taking on inhuman shape or being or there is an Oath Breaker. As it was my maiden name I don't know which I prefer but as I'm now an Essex Bog (the meaning of my name Slowgrove now) I think I prefer both! Feel free to contact me I've lots on the Worlocks. (I may be slow to answer as I tend to check this email weekly) All the best Jane Slowgrove Phil Warn <philwarn@ntlworld.com> wrote: Hi Glisters, Oh dear, I wonder if this is an occupational surname?
