Ian, I don't know if this helps at all but there is an Elizabeth PICK in the 1841 census of Cromhall Abbots who might be interesting to you as she is shown as not born in the county, see below: HO107/347/14, folio 5, page 3 Hayes Cottage, Cromhall Elizth PICK 70 Ind Born in the county no Mary ROWE 30 Do no There are a lot of PICKs in the 1841 of Cromhall, but Elizabeth, aged 70 is the only one not born in the county. Unfortunately, she seems to have died before the 1851 census, so I cannot tell where she was born. Sorry not to be of more help. Hi Janet Thanks - it does help a bit. I am trying to unravel the various Pick families in that area in 1841, 1851, 1861 and link them to IGI baptism and marriage records .... but not straightforward. Maybe I'll have to visit the Gloucester Records Office - 2 1/2 hours drive from home but thats not very eco-friendly !
