It also depends on what "'arry Stottle" suggested - If the person you are looking for died after 1837 in the Registration District of Westbury on Severn - that covered the parishes of Abenhall, Awre, Blaisdon, Bulley, Churcham, East Dean, Flaxley, Hinders Lane, Huntley, Littledean, Longhope, Lydbrook, Minsterworth, Mitcheldean, Newnham, Ruardean and Westbury on Severn itself. In 1850 a Burial Act allowed Local Authorities to finance their own Cemeteries and at that time a lot of Churchyards were closed.
