Richard Dighton was a very famous artist (painter and caricaturist), as were some other members of his family. A few years ago, there was an exhibition of his work at the National Portrait gallery. I wasn't aware that he did photography, but he could have done, and also it could be another member of his family. (am now at home) by 1856 Richard D jnr had settled at Cheltenham, initially as a portrait painter & later as a photographer. He died in Ch in March 1891.
