    3. Hello Listers: I am researching ELISHA WATKINS b. 1867 d Sept 1902 I would like his obituary if any one out there has access. He apparently like to drink a bit and he bet someone about diving off a pier. I guess he did and broke his neck. He was in the Cold Stream Guards. I live in Canada and do not have any way of finding this information. Can someone help me. Pamela

    3. I see from Freebmd that his death was registered in the Keynsham District. The Keynsham District covered parts of both South Gloucestershire and parts of Somerset so depending upon where he died an obituary might be in different newspapers. Presumably there would have been an inquest which would also have been reported. Locally, newspapers for that area can be seen in Gloucester Library, Bristol Reference Library or the Somerset Local Studies Library in Taunton so for anyone to help you they would need to know where he died. Did he actually die in September or is that just the quarter in which it was registered? You might need to get the death certificate to narrow the search through the newspapers.
