Thanks to you all I now know that I haven't been looking far enough back for births, I have a marriage date, and also know where in Gloucester Hester SMITH nee BEER was born. Plus the later Census ages indicate they were actually 27 and 28 years old in 1841. Pat, I had missed your earlier email - changed over to a new computer at start of year and have lost a few things.
