I'm new to this list because my search has taken me to Mickleton and Stow-on-the Wold. John FAIRFAX was, I believe, born at Mickleton circa 1857 and married Elizabeth [her maiden name may be Jenkins] Elizabeth was born in Stow on the Wold. On the 1891 census the family consisting of John, Elizabeth and their children Charles, William H, Edith K, Amy and Lillian are living in Aston. Birmingham. These children later joined by Alfred, Harry and Albert. If anyone has any interest in this family I look forward to hearing from you. Carole

And just to complete the set, here is what looks like Charles in the 1841 census of Mickleton: HO107/360/34, folio 14, page 8 William FAIRFAX 65 Farmer Born in the county yes Hannah do 50 yes William do 25 yes Charles do 20 yes Ann do 18 yes There is a death registration on FreeBMD in the Dec qtr 1851 at Shipston reg district, vol 11, page 302 for Charles FAIRFAX.
