In October a Karen Wintle was looking for baptisms/marriages of Isaac TROTMAN - North Nibley. I have just been looking through some e-mails which I meant to respond to but where did the time go. Anyway I also have a Trotman in my family tree. John FREAN/FREEM married Sarah TRATMAN (Trotman) at Berkeley Parish Church in 1732. I also have a HARRIET WINTLE who married GEORGE SINEGAR 1812 in Cam, Gloucestershire. I wondered whether there is any connection. If Karen reads this I would love to hear from her. Hi Maureen, I'm very interested in your Harriet Wintle. Do you know if she was related to the Wintles who a few years later were running a grocers shop in Dursley? Hi Karen I don't know much at all about Harriet WINTLE apart from the fact she married George SINEGAR in 1812.George was the brother of my great great grandfather Daniel SINEGAR. Interestingly Daniel's son THOMAS SINEGAR was transported to Australia in 1829 and whilst I was trying to find more about his life there I found that there was a THOMAS WINTLE SINEGAR in South Australia who married an ELIZABETH BARLOW (I think). I believe she was taken to Australia by Thomas and set sail from Liverpool. Does this mean anything to you?
