Hi,I am once again asking if anyone can help me with the marriage of BENJAMIN BALLINGER & ELIZABETH CAUSON approx date 1811. I have the Gloucestershire Marriage CD for 1800-1837 and they do not appear on there. Is it possible that someone could look on the Bristol CD for the same dates and see if they married there for me.All I have for BENJAMIN is his death in 1835 in UPTON ST LEONARDS, he is also said to be the father on a marriage certificate for one of his sons. Any help gratefully received as this is a real stumbling block for me. With best wishes for 2007.Rita.
Hi Rita, Not quite what you were after, but I transcribed this marriage yesterday for Newland. It may be one of yours. 41 Aug 1 1802 NELMES William bachelor St Briavels Hundred BALLINGER Jane spinster Newland Parish married Incidentally, both the rather unusual names that you seek occur in Pontyclun, Glam. Plenty of Glos people moved to Pontyclun, usually for railway jobs.
