Hi, whilst at work today I had a look at the following book G A CARDEW "ECHOES & REMINISCENCES" which is a book containing short biographies of drs practicing in Cheltenham during C19 The entry for your doctor is McCabe, James 27 Cambray 1826-1837-1839 I also checked in the directories of the time and found him in the earliest we hold, and gone by 1842 appears in Cheltenham Annuaire in 1837 > 1841 as a practising physician > not in 1842 Hope this adds to some of the interesting information that others have already given Lynne
