Pat, I have a George Davis, christened 21 Jan 1823 in Slimbridge. I do not have a middle name, but he may have had one, since my 2nd great grandfather (George's brother) had a middle name. George's father was Joseph Davis and his grandfather was Thomas Davis and great grandfather was Thomas Davis. George also had an uncle, named George Davis, christened 6 Jul 1783 in Slimbridge. I have been unable to track either George Davis. James Davis In a message dated 1/31/2007 5:27:40 P.M. I am still searching for the Birth of George Thomas Davies for approx 1822, he was 30 years on the 1851 Blackburn Census records and it states that he was born Stroud Gloucester. His father was John. Thanking you ever so much. My best wishes, Pat.
