    1. Re: [GLS] Hydes from Bisley
    2. Hi You state that George Henry Hyde was the son of Charles Hyde, but the entry for his marriage on the IGI states his father as Henry Hyde. The 1861 census would appear to put him with Henry and Selina Hyde and 3 siblings in Rodborough, the 1851 has him with Selina Hyde and a sibling lodging in Bisley. can you confirm that this information is correct thanks Tony *********************************************************** I am researching Charles Hyde, parish of Bisley, & his wife Sarah (nee Arundel), married 11 May 1811 in Minchinhampton. Their son George Henry Hyde emigrated in 1874 with his wife Emily (nee Bishop from Stroud) and a child who must have died on the voyage as he is not alive when they settled in Pukehou, Hawkes Bay, New Zealand in 1875. George had 11 siblings who do not appear to have emigrated with him so I am hoping that some of the extended family are still in Gloucester. George is my gg grandfather. Is there anyone else researching this family, or does anyone have any ideas as to how I would find out information about the Hydes of Bisley, Stroud, Rodborough etc. ----------------------------------------- Email sent from www.virginmedia.com/email Virus-checked using McAfee(R) Software and scanned for spam
