Regards Diana Hello Diana I hate to be a pessimist but I feel that I should warn you that you are likely to be disappointed with the death certificate when you receive it. The place of death is likely to be shown as "France & Flanders" (= The Western Front), and the cause of death is likely to simply read "On war service", or words to that effect, and even his date of death will not necessarily be accurate. The reason for all this is that a major war being fought and, with roughly, on average, about 300,000 to be recorded per annum there simply wasn't time to go into all the accurate details. Sorry!
