Dianne try to find out if his Regiment is still in existence of if there is an association for it. If not in existence it would have amalgamated with another regiment. There would be some sort of museum. You could also try GRO for a copy of his military records. You would probably get more information from them than any other document. At a minimum they should be able to give his residence on enlistment, who his next of kin was. his movements from unit to unit within the Army. probably a copy of the notification telegram and maybe correspondence about any of his belongings to be returned to the next of kin.
