My gggg grandfather, John Russell was born 1756 in Quenington. His father, Joseph Russell married Alice Cowley in Hampnett in 1754. I assume his father was also John Russell from the naming pattern usually used at the time. Most of the family seem to have lived and worked within about 10 miles radius of Bibury. Can anyone find me any information on the origins of Joseph and his father. Peter Russell.
