I am hoping that SKS with access to Gloucestershire parish records can help me. In my tree I have an Anna Maria Archer, daughter of Thomas Archer and Martha Hyatt (Hiatt) born 1840 in Cheltenham. I have her Birth Cert. What I would like to know is a) Did Thomas and Martha have any children before Anna Maria? (By 1842 when her sister Mary Ann was born they were living in Southampton) and b) When were they married? I have been unable to find them in any of the Censuses, anywhere. Thomas was a plasterer when Anna Maria was born and I can find a Daniel Archer, plasterer and a Joseph Archer, plasterer in Cheltenham who I think must be relatives. I am also looking for the birth around 1836 of George William Walter Edwards in Dursley. He was the son of William and Ann Edwards. Also William and Ann's marriage. Many thanks in advance Margaret

Hi Margaret Jane Archer was baptised at Cheltenham St Mary on 13 November 1835, daughter of Thomas and Martha. There is also a marriage but it is between Thomas Archer and Patty Hiatt on 7 January 1833 in Cheltenham. George Walter Edwards was baptised in Dursley on 2nd February 1837 to William, hairdresser, and Anne. All from the GFHS Marriage and Baptism Indexes.
