Thank you Elizabeth and Tony for your help. The details I have concern my grandmother Levia Mary (Powell) and her first husband Henry Robert Beavis who was a builder. They married in 1895 at the parish church and were living in Slad Road at the time. Henry's father William was listed as an outfitter. At this time Henry was a widow with six young children so quite a handful for young Levia who put her age at 27 although she was only 23. She soon had another three children of her own, too. In 1881 Henry was living in 1 Malvern Villas, Painswick with his first wife Jane Agnes Holton. I have not found them in 1991 when all their children would have been born. At least one of them had died by then, however. I have also been unable to find Henry's death but Levia remarried in 1915 when she was listed as widow.
