    1. [GLS] Highatt/Hyatt/Hyett family from Tidenham
    2. HI all I` have been lucky to find details on my family even though the surname is spelt Highatt. James and Mary Highatt had five children christened in Tidenham. James on the 24.2.1816, Elizabeth on the 19.10.1817, William on the 26.3.1820 and Emma and Robert who were both christened on the same day 6.9.1829. Can anyone help me find out what happened to any of this family. ----------------------------------------- Email sent from www.virginmedia.com/email Virus-checked using McAfee(R) Software and scanned for spam

    3. >From the Gloucestershire Burials Index of Tidenham (1813-1837): 21 December 1828 at Tidenham James HIGHATT, aged 34, of Mathern 9 May 1830 at Tidenham William HIGHATT, aged 10, of Tidenham It looks as though the above burial could be your James, as on the Gloucestershire Marriage Index there is the following marriage: 29 April 1833 at Tidenham Benjamin SMITH married Mary HIGHATT, widow, by Banns This might explain why I have been unable to find a Mary HIGHATT (or variations) in the 1841 census record onwards.
