Hi, I have seen postcards (in old postcard fairs) where the writer writes a brief message then says 'I will meet you at the station tonight at 7.00 p.m.' - and the postcard was obviously delivered the same day. And that wasn't local either! More like a telegram really. Regards Diana Regarding: Hi Robert. In those days Slough was not very big. ( not like it is today, I live here) Also I believe, it went to the Post office, and someone from the house would go to see if there was any mail for the House, and of cause they knew everyone local.
