    3. Didn't hear from anyone so thought I would try posting this again. Thank you. Sonia in NJ USA Just wondering if there is sks who would be willing to do a lookup for me in the Wilts and Gloucestershire Standard newspaper? I am looking for the obituary for my uncle, Ordinary Seaman JACK BEASLEY, died 10 th July, age 19, at Plymouth hospital, but born and raised in Cirencester to Harry and Florence Beasley. Also looking for the obituary for my grandfather HARRY TANNER, who died at Rectory Cottage, Daglinworth. Gloucestershire. Husband of Mary Ann Amelia Whittle/Tanner. He died 20 February 1937, aged 68. Hoping that with this information I can finally track down my fathers siblings. So a HUGE thank you to anyone who can help me in breaking down this brick wall. Sonia in NJ USA

    3. Sonia, did you get any help on this? If not, let me know and I may be able to help in the not too distant future. Cirencester Library holds the papers and has just reopened after major refurbishment [altho' the papers were available whilst in temporary accomodation it wasn't quite as easy as it will be now] and so I plan to visit to do some more of my own research. You omit the year of death of Jack - any clues? Lynne sonia brakowski wrote: > Didn't hear from anyone so thought I would try posting this again. Thank > you. 3. Dear Lynn, no unfortubately I got no responses only yours, so if you can help me I would be so appreciatice. Jack Beasley died 10th July 1941 in Royal Naval Hospital, Stonehouse , Plymouth. As he was born and raised in Cirencester I was wondering if my gran would have put an obit in the local newspaper. Her name was Florence Emily Beasley and her husband was Harry Beasley. If you could also take a look at the obit for my other gramps, Harry Tanner (info below) that would be appreciated also. Thank you. Are you originally from Cirencester? I was born and raised there until I moved to the states with my husband in 1966. A lot of my family are buried in Chesterton Cemetary, and I have a brother in Stratton and a sister in South Cerney. Unfortunately neither of them are interested in the family history, so I am the one gathering all the information and as I live in the states it makes it hard. When I am able to go home I try to do as much research as I can but now with the price of airfares I don't know when I will get back there again. Looking forward to hearing from you again.
