    1. [GLS] HARRIS: census look-up
    2. Is there anyone with access to the 1861 and 1871 census returns for Gloucester? I am trying to ascertain when Mary Ann HARRIS died. Née SHEEN, she was baptised St John the Baptist church, 1808 All her children were baptised at St John's (last one in 1845) Husband Edwin (shoemaker) was buried St John's 1850 I have her in the 1851 census in Brother's Place (St John's parish?) where she was a 'shoe binder' Free BDM provides a few possible death entries for her but the ages don't match that well so to limit the hunt I'd love to know if she was still around in the 1861 and 1871. I guess she'd still be in the parish of St John. Any help / advice would be welcomed. Steve

    3. Hi Steve, I had a go at this for you, but there are too many Mary Ann HARRIS' to narrow it down. While you may know where St. John the Baptist Church is, I don't. Can you give me a town/city? Is she a widow or does she have a husband? If the latter, what is her husband's name? Get back to me and I'll have another look. I have the HARRIS surname in Bristol if that's where she is.
