    2. Thank you for your kind offer. I expext your Inbox will be crammed, so answer this, if you can, in your own time. I would be interested in any male BENFIELD from the area of Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, circa 1890 - 1914. There was a family 'story' that a brother of my Grandmother, skipped off to Canada to avoid a paternity issue. He was never heard of again, may have been called Albert, Phillip or Richard. All the best from sunny March in the Fens. 3. This is a very kind offer. I hope you are not too overwhelmed. If you have time I would appreciate you looking for: ** Caroline Elizabeth Bowley and Richard Hewer Chesterman ** of Kempsford, Gloucestershire. The couple were married at Cambray Chapel, Cheltenham 5th June 1896 They may have travelled under either surname; Thay had effectively eloped as Caroline's father was much against the marriage. Caroline died after the birth of a son 9th September 1897 in Wallace, Manitoba, Canada and Richard brought the son (also Richard) back to Kempsford in time to appear in the 1901 census. If you can find the journey out to Canada or the journey back I would be more than grateful For quick reference: Caroline Chesterman nee Bowley Richard Chesterman Outward: between 5 Jun 1896 and 9 Sep 1897 Return (Richard and Richard) between Sep 1897 and 1901 Regards Martin Bowley Oxfordshire ----- Original Message ----- From: "Glen Yearsley" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, September 17, 2008 9:32 PM Subject: [GLS] Canadian Passenger Lists, 1865-1935 > Hello to the list: > > I now have access to Canadian passenger lists dated 1865 - 1935 to Canada > from the British Isles. 2. Giles Colchester
    3. Thank you for your kind offer to the Gloucester list. I would very much appreciate a look up. The principle name in which I am interested at present is Colchester - any person with that surname. If the database separates out names from the location called Colchester, then there should be relatively few persons of that name travelling there. If your database does not distinguish the place from the town, then I realising that I am asking for far to big a request, and it would not be possible. Key persons who I am interested in are: William Parsons Colchester who may have been in Canada prior to 1865, but per a local newspaper returned from Halifax in July 1868, and was out there again in about 1872 or 1873. He later travelled to Panama and other Central American locations, so I would expect references to him then. Malcolm Graeme Colchester who travelled between England and Lake Erie in May 1910. He died in Nelson BC that year. My great aunt Henrietta Louise Colchester and her sister Hilda left Canada to live in England in about 1914 or earlier. I would be interested to discover when she first came to England. John Harold Colchester born Sept 1884 has given me a great headache. The first record I have of him is in Saskatchewan in 1911 saying that he was English. I (and his grandchildren and great grandchildren) would dearly like to find him on a ship going to Canada. This might at last identify how he connects in to the rest of the family. I am interested in all entries relating to the surname Colchester, but fully appreciate that this might be to much to request, depending up how the database is organised. But I would be very pleased if you were able to find any references to add to the family history. Wishing you every success in your researches and thanking you for your kind offer Giles Colchester, Researching COLCHESTER family, any spelling, any time, any place And PACKARD in Suffolk -----Original Message----- From: Glen Yearsley [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: 17 September 2008 21:32 To: [email protected] Subject: [GLS] Canadian Passenger Lists, 1865-1935 Hello to the list: I now have access to Canadian passenger lists dated 1865 - 1935 to Canada from the British Isles. 3. Thank you for the offer. I'm looking for Jane Graham. She was born 1810 or 12 and was born in England, although she spent much of her adult life in Ireland. She would have come between 1879-1900, probably closer to 1880-1881. She may have been accompanied by her adult son Frank, born 1832 in England. 3. Hello Glen, Would you be able to look-up Thomas ATKINSON (born Barbados - West Indies) and his wife Louise ATKINSON (born London) and their daughter Dorothy ATKINSON (also born in England) - would have gone to Canada before 1910. Also, anyone named HULIN or anyone named KEARSEY, if that is not too much to ask? Many thanks, Don Cameron. 2008/9/18 Glen Yearsley <[email protected]>: > Hello to the list: > > I now have access to Canadian passenger lists dated 1865 - 1935 to Canada > from the British Isles. 3. Hi. Glen, I would appreciate any information on anyone by the name of PIMBURY you are able to find. I know they settled in Vancouver but have always been intrigued as to the route they took to Canada. I think possibly via. Australia. Maybe England - Australia - England - Canada. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Judy. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Glen Yearsley" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, September 18, 2008 6:32 AM Subject: [GLS] Canadian Passenger Lists, 1865-1935 > Hello to the list: > > I now have access to Canadian passenger lists dated 1865 - 1935 to Canada > from the British Isles.
