Hi Listers, I have found that one of my ancestors, Hilda Emily Morse, was at the Girls Friendly Society Home in Gloucester at the time of the 1911 Census. Since the family lived in Swindon, Wilts, I'm wondering why she was in Gloucester, so I contacted the Girl's Friendly Society who tell me that their records and memorabilia are held at the Women's Library at the London Metropolitan University. I am awaiting a reply from them, but in the meantime I'm wondering if anyone on the list has come across this home. Regards Geoff Morse Herts
