There's a little place called Overton in the parish of Arlingham, and it's a couple of villages away from Frampton-on-Severn. There are also places in Gloucestershire called called Frampton Mansell and Frampton Cotterell, but they are further away - I think Frampton-on-Severn is the most likely -http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frampton-on-Severn. I was never able to find any information about her father when originally researching prior to the advent of the internet, but tonight decided to have another look now and opened a huge can of worms! Her father was Thomas Stanworth WEBBER, a carpenter born in Bermondsey, London in 1854. His father was Robert WEBBER born in Devon around 1813 who married a Sarah STANWORTH (guessing this one by children's names) who according to census records was born abt 1821 in either Overton or Frampton, Gloucestershire. I've googled these two places anticipating them to be near to each other but having problems finding them at all! I wondered if those of you with local geographical knowledge might throw some light on where this place is? Many thanks Amanda Kerby NZ
Thank you to everyone who helped with suggestions where these two places were. I shall go and explore google maps now to follow up on your useful ideas. I particularly like the idea of Overton farm nr Frampton on Severn. many thanks Amanda Kerby NZ
