Hi List, I am tracing the family of my paternal G G Grandmother Martha Linda WEBBER born Australia 1889. I was never able to find any information about her father when originally researching prior to the advent of the internet, but tonight decided to have another look now and opened a huge can of worms! Her father was Thomas Stanworth WEBBER, a carpenter born in Bermondsey, London in 1854. His father was Robert WEBBER born in Devon around 1813 who married a Sarah STANWORTH (guessing this one by children's names) who according to census records was born abt 1821 in either Overton or Frampton, Gloucestershire. I've googled these two places anticipating them to be near to each other but having problems finding them at all! I wondered if those of you with local geographical knowledge might throw some light on where this place is? Many thanks Amanda Kerby NZ
Google map it <G> it has two possibles Frampton Boston, Lincolnshire, UK Frampton Dorchester, Dorset DT2, UK But not where you want them <G> try hunting Old Maps http://www.old-maps.co.uk/index.html One of the interesting parts of English research is the changing Counties (won't even mention parish changes, such a nightmare *G*) an possibly these towns/villages are involved. But they could also be farms.
