Hi Amanda, According to Genuki, Overton is only 3 miles from Frampton on Severn & comes under the parish of Arlingham. There is no baptism of a Sarah STANWORTH on the Gloucestershire FHS Baptismal Index 1813-37 at all and both the parishes of Arlingham and Frampton on Severn are included in the Index. There is also no male marriage of a STANWORTH on the FHS Marriage Index 1800-37. Looking further on the Index for any Sarah baptised in Arlingham from Overton in the period 1817-1822 brings up absolutely nothing. Looking for a Sarah baptised in Frampton during the same timescale brings up the following: 21 Sep 1817 Sarah BROOKES dau of William & Mary, Waterman 26 Oct 1817 Sarah WATTS dau of George & Mary, Yeoman 28 Jan 1818 Sarah DAVIS dau of Joseph & Sarah, Labourer 21 Mar 1819 Sarah KING dau of Charles & Hannah, Shoemaker 30 May 1819 Sarah SHARPE dau of Thomas & Elizabeth, Stonemason 1 Aug 1819 Sarah MILLINGTON dau of Richard & Anne, Canal Digger 29 May 1820 Sarah EVANS dau of Edward & Mary, Canal Digger 1 Dec 1820 Sarah Elizabeth BENNETT dau of John & Sophia, Waterman 23 Sep 1821 Sarah MERRETT dau of William & Ann, Carpenter 10 Mar 1822 Sarah Parslo FRENCH dau of Edward & Martha, Blacksmith The list may help you in your quest to find Sarah's surname although the easiest way to do this would be to obtain the birth certificate of one of the children. If you do this, then with a bit of luck you should find the marriage of Robert & Sarah, obtain the certificate and find the next generation back via his father's name & profession. Good luck Janet > Her father was Thomas Stanworth WEBBER, a carpenter born in Bermondsey, > London in 1854. Hi Janet, I'm working on the more recent Australian generation (Robert & Sarah's grandchildren in melbourne) and have ordered two certificates online tonight. You can order Australian 'uncertified' certificates for family history purposes by paying by credit card online and download the file straight away, what a great service! As soon as I clean them up, I shall look at ordering the British certicates for Robert & Sarah Webber's children. I was rather hoping that one of the other member tree owners on Ancestry might already have some and would share! We'll see what happens. I just find this quite hilarious because I though by starting to look up an ancestor in Australia it would make a change from Bristol, Somerset & Gloucestershire, but here we are back in Gloucestershire again! I searched on FreeBDM for Robert Webber's marriage to Sarah and looked at others on registration pages to find her surname, only to find on one particular page, two other names already on my tree! It's a small world!! Will let the list know once I find out more. Dear Gloucester list, In my family I have Abigail or Abby Tombs who was christened in 1796 in Cowley. She was married to Henry Lyes who was christened in Brimpsfield in 1796. Their first son, Cornelius was christened in 1830 in Brimpsfield. Can anyone tell me the marriage date and place of Abigail and Henry? Later, when she was widowed, she married William Taylor in 1851 in Brimpsfield. William Taylor was christened in Barnsley in 1800 and was first married to a Jane. Their first child Richard Taylor was christened in Barnsley in 1824. Jane was buried in 1850 in Barnsley at age 59. Can anyone tell me the marriage date and place of the marriage of William Taylor to Jane? Thank you. Carolyn Taylor Harmon
