Dear Gillian, Goodness, everyone has been up to the mark overnight. I have heaps to work on this morning. Thank you Gillian for all the information below, at a quick glance it all seems to fit. On Tuesday I can go to LDS again to search 1911 census. This is what I have so far which is not much. I was actually tracing the CODD family in Devon. I was going through some baptism's in Plymouth and came across a Winifred Alice CODD bapt at Christ Church, Plymouth 14 Sep 1899, born 25 Jul 1899. The parents were at 31 Oxford St, Plymouth Charles. William CODD the father is a Police Constable, mother Annie Alice. William CODD bapt 8 Jan 1860 in Chillington, Stokenham, Devon married Annie Alice CULL 28 Dec 1898 at Plymouth Charles, Devon. A look at the 1901 census finds William with a wife Annie Alice still at 31 Oxford St, with Annie recorded as born Tetbury which led me to Annie Alice CULL of Gloucestershire. Now, I love good old Glos. because there are many more events recorded on the IGI than for Devon. . I figured she would be easy to find so looked at the 1871 census and found a suitable parent as John CULL a plasterer born Tetbury [which now matches the marriage entry of John CULL] and Mary Ann BAYLISS who was born Badminton. I could not find anything useful re Badminton on Genuki. The name BAYLISS lit up my life as I have been trying to find a Thomas BAYLISS c 1854 who at one time may have lived in Wimborne Dorset and who may have married Sarah Ann BELCHER in 1884. This family moved to Monmouth in Wales. There are just so many Thomas BAYLISS'S out there, with quite a few with a wife Sarah. In 1910 Thomas was a Government Surveyor Silly me was actually thinking that this BAYLISS family may be kin to the family BAYLISS above, but that would be too easy wouldn't it? Hope the above makes sense to everyone and I do hope I have the right Annie Alice CULL who married William CODD in Plymouth, Devon. It looks like it anyway. His line actually links back to my EDMONDS family in Stokenham Devon. Thanks to evryone for your thoughts and help. Regards Bev in Oz
