I will certainly need to study these sources more closely to extract all the background. The landowning family seem to have been well-heeled enough that there may be a chance of following their fortunes before and after the era in question - but there is a hint in the article about Cecily of Kingsholm that some lines of the family "daughtered out" and vanished. I am delighted to find that many of the places mentioned are still on the map; there is even still a Kingstone Road at Slimbridge. Clearly I am going to have to put some hours in on this!
