    3. Hi Lynne/David Nothing at all in Bigland for Chalford!! It was only created as a parish in 1842, from Bisley, so I had a quick look there and they have nothing for the 19th century at all. The GFHS Burial Index has only one Thomas burial in Bisley - 5 month old Charles Thomas son of Thomas and Ann Thomas on 1st September 1833. 3. Thanks everyone. My brickwall remains unclimbed. It's just possible that William and Ann were living with one of their daughters when they died  in Stroud. The William buried in the church at Chalford is my 2g grandfather who died in a fall while working on the church at Ashton Keynes. Thanks for your help I'll keep searching. David Thomas
