Can any one help with a Betterton of Fairford mystery. This being that a Charles Betterton married a Hannah Clorrey in Fairford on the 29 th Sept 1745 and that they had five children between 1745 and 1756. The first of these being Ann born on the 27th Nov 1745,whom I'm a direct decsendant of. The mystery is when and where the Charles she married was born and who his parents were. Contrary to many other Betterton trees I've accessed, it's not Charles Betterton born on 29th September 1729 in Fairford. I've narrowed it three ( but there could be others) born between 1808/1809. A further related mystery being that Hannah Clorrage contrary to many family trees showing her to have been born there (177/1724) doesn't show up in the Fairford parish records. ,
