Your Subject Heading confused me - Is there a connection between John TAYLOR and William BEALE? As the John TAYLOR who death was registered in the Cheltenham District in Sept qrt 1846 appears to have been 1 month old (http://ww3.gloucestershire.gov.uk/bmd ) it does seem likely that the first child died. On the 1851 census there is only the one John TAYLOR who is said to have been born in Cheltenham in 1847 (and is still living there) and he is boarding with a Robert HOWES and family. He is still with Jane HOWES in 1861 Unless you can find a christening for him it does look as if you might have to buy the certificate to find his parents.
