Trevor The Glos Archives Catologue on line is showing up quite a lot of BETTERTONs but it could be a lead in the fact that some entries show BETTERTON of Fairford and Maisey Hampton. These are only 2.5 miles apart and it could be worth you looking in the Maisey Hampton Church records. And have you considered the Charles BETTERTON who was Chr. c1702, Fairford as BETTERTON or GREEN.
