Iam sorry to bother people one more time but mysister is trying to trace her husband's family and we are stuck with Isaac Causon. born abt. 1859 in Cranham(we think) and married Mary Hainess abt 1880. We think he died 1913 in Cheltenham. Looking for his parents as everything we have does not seem to match up right. Thanks for any help Jackie in North Caolina

Hello Jackie, Could this be Isaac and his family in the 1871 census of Cranham: RG10/2629, folio 28, page 7 Cranham Hill Isaac CAUSON Head Mar 41 Collier Glostershire Cranham Sophia do Wife Mar 39 do do Isaac do Son Un 15 Labourer do do Mary Ellen do Daur 12 Scholar do do James do Son 11 do do do Victoria do Daur 7 do do do Isaac jnr's age seems to have dropped 3 years from the 1881/91 census records but he is the only Isaac born Cranham around that time and when the census has been filled out whilst he is living with his parents, his dob is consistently given as c1856. However, his marriage certificate should confirm if Isaac snr is indeed his father. If this is the correct family, there is a marriage registration in the December qtr 1849 at Stroud reg distgrict of an Isaac CAUSON & a Sophia BARNFIELD which could prove relevant. There is a Sofia BARNFIELD living in Cranham in the 1841 census (HO107/363/12, folio 13, page 2) with parents William & Mary plus 5 siblings. Glouces FHS Marriage Index shows a marriage at Cranham on 2 October 1826 of a William BARNFIELD & Mary KEYLOCK by banns.
