    2. Harmon
    3. Dear Emma, It think that the two entries are for the same couple. When a marriage has not been found, a standard approximation date for a marriage is one year before the birth of the first child. Whoever submitted the approximate marriage date of 1783 was basing it on the christening of Thomas Blandford in Miserden in 1784. The approximate marriage date of 1786 was based on the christening of Hannah in Brimpsfield in 1787. The family seems to have moved from Miserden to Brimpsfield, to Cranham and back to Brimpsfield. It would appear that the marriages from the Bishop's Transcripts of Cranham and of Brimpsfield have been extracted and there is not one for Richard Blandford. I can't tell if the marriages of Miserden have been extracted. >From looking at the Family History Library Catalog I also cannot tell if there are missing years in the Bishop's Transcripts. My aunt had Brian Frith, the Librarian in Gloucester, research for our family in Miserden back in the 1960's. I do remember that in the early 1700's for a number of years, the name of the parents was not listed in the christening record. One of my relatives, Mary Ann Taylor, married Jeremiah Iles, a son of Richard Iles and Patience Blandford. Sincerely, Carolyn Harmon ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kirk & Emma" <cc> To: "Glost rootsweb" <GLOUCESTER-D@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, January 12, 2007 2:36 PM Subject: [GLS] BLANDFORDS in Brimpsfield > Hello all > > I seem to have discovered parents for my Cinderella BLANDFORD (b. 1791 Cranham Glost.) 2. Pat and Bill
    3. Hello List, Perhaps someone can try and help us find Sarah BOUGHTON in the 1841 and 1861 census. We have her marriage to Frederick GUY married November 1867. She has her father as William. The witness were Charles TAYLOR and Sarah Ann TAYLOR. We have found nothing matching Sarah with a father William. Therefore no siblings or a bapt. We have in 1851 H.O 107/1963 folio 223 page 19 . She is age 14 at the Frampton Vicarage , 1861 ? help please, 1871 RG 10/ 2620 folio 4 page 1 at York House Lane, she is married to Frederick GUY. 1881 The Vicarage Kempsford, Gloucester RG 11/ 2558 folio 18 page 8. 1891 RG 12/ 2010 folio 89 page 30. 1901 RG 13/ 2427 folio 60 page 29. Her place of birth differs which is confusing us ?. We would love to get farther back with our BOUGHTON family. A brick wall for a few years now. 3. Hello Jakie. Thank for your reply. The reason I asked about the time frame of your books is, I have and elusive grand Uncle who is reputed to have lived and worked in the Leckhampton area in the early 1900's. His name was William H. JAMES, I believe he married a Annie MESSENGER around 1901. He is reputed the have been a gardener and iether worked for the town of Leckhampton or had amarket garden there. Family lore has it that he divorced Annie and the was something special about this divorce, anyway after his divorce he moved to Gravesend, Kent where he remarried and raised a family. Just wondered if there was any mention of my William H. JAMES in one of your books. Cheers. 3. Hi Arthur Did your grandfather marry in New Zealand? If so, do you have a copy of your grandfather's New Zealand marriage certificate? This may give information about his parents. Death certificates, although valuable, can be a bit of a risk for determining parents because the information comes from the informant, not from the deceased. Why did you think that John Lane could have come from Gloucestershire? 1. Re: [GLS] Wall surname in Tarlton, Gloucester
    2. Janet Tarlton is on the border of the parishes of Rodmarton & Coates. I checked with the IGI, and this could be your William WILLIAM WALL Male ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- Event(s): Birth: Christening: 26 DEC 1790 Rodmarton, Gloucester, England Death: Burial: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- Parents: Father: JOHN WALL Family Mother: NANCY At least 2 siblings I noticed - John & Thomas Ruth ----- Original Message ----- From: <JANLWH@aol.com> To: <gloucester@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, January 10, 2007 10:12 PM Subject: Re: [GLS] Wall surname in Tarlton, Gloucester I am looking for William WALL born about 1791 Tarlton. He moved to Biddestone, Slaughterforsd, Wiltshire. He married Elizabeth nee unknown who was a few years older. They had 3 sons per the 1841 and 1851 census. They were William b. circa 1822, Thomas b. circa 1826 and Richard b. Nov. 19, 1829. Thomas and Richard were baptized in the local parish. Richard is my 2nd great grandfather. He moved to Breconshire, Wales where he married and lived. His grandson was my grandfather who at the age of 5 yrs.(1887) immigrated to Pennsylvania, USA to work in the coal mines. I have seen that there are a number of WALL families in the Gloucester 1851 census and almost all of them were born in the county. There are a number of Richards, Thomas's and William's which are the given names that seemed to be repeated in my WALL family in the all of the UK census. I would like to find others who are researching the WALL family from Gloucester. Janet Stafford, Virginia, USA (Finally, winter has arrived but only briefly, as it predicted to be 71 degrees this coming Sunday! ) _____________________________________________ Browse the list archives at: http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/index/GLOUCESTER/ Keyword search - any or all lists: http://archiver.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/search ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to GLOUCESTER-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message -- No virus found in this incoming message.
