I've never yet managed to get that .pdf to download. I've no idea why not though. I don't usually have any problems with .pdfs since I switch to FoxIt. -- Charani (UK)

    2. Not that I've noticed Jeff. There is only one other Gls List message waiting for me to open, this is since about 8.30pm so it's not exactly busy. I've had about the usual amount of messages from other Lists. Sandra Is anyone else experiencing a dearth of mail since about 3.45pm? 1. [GLS] Semple - McGregor Marriage
    2. Atina Marks
    3. Hello everyone, I would please like some help with a supposed marriage that took place in Glasgow between Eliza Margaret McGregor (or McLean) with H.C. Semple, they apparently had 2 children, one child the youngest being named James was only 2 months old when his mother was transported to Australia for seven years, James going with her. The year of departure was 1850 from London so I think maybe that Mr Semple and Eliza may have married between 1840 & 1845 give or take a few years. Maybe someone has access to these type of records or maybe someone can direct me to where I can obtain such information. Thank you all very much. Kindest regards, Atina Marks (Australia)

    2. Hello Atina, You could have a look on the following website. Their bmd's are perhaps not early enough for you but they do have some parish records for pre 1854. My own research doesn't so far include Scotland but I did use the site when helping someone else and found it very good. _http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk_ (http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk) Regards Sandra Hello everyone, I would please like some help with a supposed marriage that took place in Glasgow between Eliza Margaret McGregor (or McLean) with H.C. 3. I'm afraid this is a difficult one Keith. This is the closest birth for Sarah on the freeBMD and it just says Female. Births Jun 1842 Mustoe Female Cheltenham 11 199 I also tried unsuccessfully to find Sarah's marriage to George on the BMD and I checked the IGI too. Does the 1851 census give any clues? And what about Avery? That sounds like a Surname. It could be the the real father's name or Sarah's mother's maiden name.
