I am sure Elizabeth will not mind me mentioning there is a Delina WINDOWS age 22 in 1870 in gaol for being a cheat (no photograph on this occasion.) best wishes Anne ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dallas Window" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, August 29, 2008 4:41 AM Subject: Re: [GLS] Help with Gloucester Assizes and Quarter Sessions please > Hi Linnette, > > Thanks for your offer to help. > > The names are:- > > Esau Window > Thomas Window > Edward Window > > So an enquiry to the Gloucester Record Office might bear some fruit? > > Thanks > Dallas > > > -----Original Message----- > From: Linnette HORNE [mailto:[email protected]] > Sent: Friday, 29 August 2008 12:28 PM > To: [email protected] > Subject: Re: [GLS] Help with Gloucester Assizes and Quarter Sessions > please > > Dallas > > I do have access to the index of some of the Gloucester Criminal > Records. The London Gazette is obviously on my "always forget this one" list!!!! Interesting how the term Gentleman gets used... in 1881 he's still a Grocer! 3. Thanks Sue for your help. My George MILLS has a brother living with him (in Aston Blank nor far from Farmington ) William Mills b 1822 according the Aston Blank Census of 1851. I am trying to link these two together. At the moment George Mills b 1816 is not connected to any of the people in Aston Blank although there appear to be only one family of that name at the time. Thomas and Sarah Mills were married in Farmington in 1819 according to the Gloustershire Marriage index. If this George is their son then where was born and could he be the son of The widow Thomas and some other woman. So many question . Is this George the brother of an unrelated William or is he the brother of my William? If any one has any ideas let me know. Thanks for your interest and help Pamela

    3. First of all many thanks to Jenny and Elizabeth for their help re Thomas and Martha Archer. Elizabeth found a marriage for me in 1833 between a Thomas Archer and a Patty Hiatt. I have tried searching The Genealogist site in the 1841 Census for a Patty Archer and it keeps throwing up both Matilda and Martha Archers (none of which are mine) so I was wondering if Patty could be a nickname for Martha like Peggy can be short for Margaret? Any ideas? Thanks, Margaret
