My great-grandmother was Mabel Glick. I would be very interested in seeing the picture cards of John and Hannah McCammon. As they would have been my ggggrandparents. Their son Samuel was my great-great grandfather. This would be greatly appreciated, and as well as any other info you might have. Thanks Lana Gronewold

I was just wondering is this the same Glick - Coat-of-Arms that appears in the Joseph M. Glick Family History book titled: Across the Years? Jospeh M. Glick was my Great-Great Grandfather. Thanks for any information you can lend me in this matter. Marta at Emjuma3@aol.com

I could't believe it when I saw Gluck which means Luck because my dad use to tell me that when I waas a kid. He also said that Bob ( his name) meant bad.He would always joke around with us telling us his full name meant bad luck. I ahve been trying to do a family tree with some but not alot of information. My dads dad was Joseph William Glick and he was married to Artie May (Mae) Pigg. This is where I get stuck. The Coat of Arms would be a great addition to my tree. They may have even been written in German. So the name may be a bit different than you have. Also, I would definitely print out or keep my message, because something tells me you are somehow connected to the Paul who's info I gave. Perhaps a brother named a son Paul after his own brother, which was common practice then, especially with bigger families. Also, like I mentioned, I know that several of the Glick families, as well as Alspach, Foor, and several others, left Bloom township for northwest Ohio and Indiana. If you don't have a direct connection with this Paul, I'm fairly certain you have a close but indirect connection.

However we are pretty sure that he was born Sylvanus Paul Glick, He was either a state representative or senator in Indiana, and his family had been in Indiana awhile. Probably related though, since my husband's uncle was a Paul Glick and his aunt was a Catherine Elizabeth Glick, both born around the turn of the century in the early 1900's and there seemed to be a big thing about families naming their children after them. Thanks for the information. I do know that my husbands family was in both Pennsylvania and in Ohio. Thank you!!

Surnames: Glick Solt Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/YRZ.2ACIB/110.1 Message Board Post: A possibility may be the "Paulus Silwanes Glick" b 28 Mar 1842 in Ohio. He was baptised 27 Apr 1842 in Salem Lutheran Church, Bloom Twp., Fairfield Co., OH as the son of Daniel and Eve Glick. Daniel was b abt 1788 PA, Eve abt 1797. Another known child was Adam David Clinton GLICK b 20 Mar 1839, baptised same place on 8 May 1839. I found them in the 1850 census: CENSUS: 1850 Bloom Twp., Fairfield Co., OH - fam #1509 GLICK, Daniel 62y farmer b PA ", Eve 53y b PA ", Adam D. 11y b OH ", Slvanis? 9y male b OH ", Sylanda ?y female b OH Daniel GLICK and "Eave Scott" (think this is a bad transcription of the word SOLT) were married 26 Apr 1821 in Fairfield Co., OH. My guess is that there were many other children by this marriage since the first I have record of was 18 years later in 1839. I have many, many other GLICKs in the database pertaining mostly to Bloom township of Fairfield Co., Ohio. "David" Glick may be in the database more than once as perhaps "Daniel" or married to a different individual. He is not linked to any of the other existing lineages I was able to figure out by census info, partition records, etc. I do know that all of the Glicks during that time period came from PA, and many did leave for northwest Ohio (such as Henry county) and Indiana, as well as other points west. At www.familysearch.org there is some submitted info on Paul that says he's the son of Daniel and Eve (SOLT) GLICK. Same birthdate that I show for Paul. I _do_ have a Daniel and Catherine Elizabeth (SOLT) GLICK in the database, but they were married in 1813 and seem to be of a different generation.

I have been diagnosed with 'the most common neurological disease - Charcot Marie Tooth or CMT' since I was 10 (am now 49). Supposedely disease is genetic but no one in my family has it. Anyone out there ever been diagnosed with polio, MS, MD or diabetes? There are some overlapping and similiar signs and I would like to compare with what you have. My father John Ferol Glick, of the Johannes Glick descendants died of a heart valve failure. I am interested in anything health wise about any Glicks. Thank you.

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/YRZ.2ACIB/112 Message Board Post: I'm looking for my Uncle, Dean Newton Glick. Lost track of him and his family. He was my father, John Ferol Glick's brother. Dean and John grew up in Ahmerst, Mass, sons of Harry Newton Glick and Mabel Ruth Stuff. John, my father, passed away in 1979; used to hear from Dean at Christmas, but not this year. He was a Landscape Architect and taught in East Lansing Michigan for years until retirement to Waltham, Mass. Dean has a son, Arthur Newton Glick, (in Texas?) and a daughter who was Glenda Bourne Glick (plus married name now) Dean is married to Roberta Elizabeth Bourne. If anyone knows them or can get this message to them, thanks. Checked the family plot in Wildwood Cemetary, in Ahmerst, Mass, and they aren't there! So, I am hopeful to reconnect with this part of my family!
