Surnames: WILEY/JAMES Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/YRZ.2ACIB/41.80 Message Board Post: I read the three queries about Stephen Wiley. Sorry I don't know anything about his wife, Louisa Glick. I was looking for my great great grandfather William R. Wiley in La and came acrossed several Wileys in Rapides and Avoyelles Parish La. Check census 1880 Wilson Co. TX for Stephen Wiley. Could this be your Stephen Wiley? I noticed one query listed a Corneluis as a child of Stephen. Corneluis Wiley is listed In 1810 census Avoyelles Parish La. Could be Stephen's grandfather. Submitter on ancestry.com has Stephen Wiley's father as William Jr. Does anyone know if the Wileys in Rapides and Avoyellles are related or anything else about them? I have been looking for many a year for my Wiley/James line. William R. married Adeline James 1848 in Memphis TN. He was much older than his 13 year old bride. One census has her born in La. Two children Permelia Anna (1851) and Joseph Franklin Wiley (1853) were born near New Orleans. They lived on Island #93 near Mayersville, Issaquena then moved to Skipper's Landing MS. Third daughter Emma was born 1855/56 in MS. In June 1856 he bought land in Council, Crittenden, AR where he died in Dec 1857. Cannot find them in 1850 census. Joanne

I wrote a message and my computer went kablooey for a second, and I don't think it posted, so I'll try again. If you saw my second reply to your original message, I did find an Alexander Glick that fit the timeframe of your "A. M." Glick. You might try searching through the 1850 and 1860 census's for them, and start with Seneca and Sandusky counties of Ohio, which is where this Glick line concentrated during that time... especially 1860 in the hopes of finding Philip listed with his father... the now infamos "A. M." :) Anyway, glad to help :) I had a ton of other things to do today, but I was bound and determined to find your link.
