Died, December 3rd, 1883, of old age at his home in Lincoln County, Tenn., Mr. Samuel GLEGHORN, in the 89th year of his age. The deceased was a venerable man. It is not thought that he ever was sick. He raised and cultivated with his hands seventy-eight crops consecutively....He was born on Rocky Creek, Chester, S.C., where he lived until he was about thirty....There he married Mary Crawford and emigrated to Tennessee about sixty years ago, casting in his lot with Dr. Bryson and the Prosperity congregation. Thence he moved to Morton's Creek and was ordained an elder in the Zion congregation (an organization that was disbanded about thirty years ago because most of the membership migrated west) when he connected with Bethel congregation. In the same Death and Marriage section by the same person was the following: December 31, 1885, by Rev. J. C. McDonald in Izard County, Ark, Mr. A.C. Oldfield and Miss Sarah J.
