Bob, I have no idea where they found a last name for the 2nd wife of Casper. When Zemanek & Camenisch wrote the Glattfelder/Clotfelter book in 1994 they did not have a last name for the Mary or Anna Maria. We have no information on my grandfather, Roy Clodfelter's family except what I have read in books. When he married my grandmother he said he married him a family. Hello Don and Jeanine, I'm wondering if you ever ran across some Clodfelter children that went to school in Achison County Missouri in 1872. There was a book published called The Country Schools of Atchison County copyrighted 1996 by Wynona Smith that list 5 children as going to the Union School in 1872. They were Clover Clodfelter age 18, Glenerz age 15, Orwin age 13, Stella age 10 and Into age 8. I have never saw these names listed anywhere else. >My mother was Margaret Fern Clodfelter Holmes. She was the daughter of Roy Clodfelter of Watson, Mo. I think it was Casper Glattfelter, Felix, Johann Jacob, John Daniel, John T. and then my grandfather. My grandfather also had a sister that lived but I don't believe it was the Minnie M. they list. She married a man named Dean and he had a son Carl Dean and she had a daughter Anna Dean. I believe they were all deceased by 1957 when there was a search for living members to settle an estate. Since my grandfathers father abandoned his family when they were quite young and the children were split up this may not be quite right. My mothers brother, Alfred Clodfelter believed he may have gone to her funeral around Plattsmouth, Nebraska when he was about 10 or 12 years old. Minnie M. also lived at Plattsmouth but they gave her as being married to Silas Million and having 2 children, Frank and Bernice. Several years ago I went to the lawyer that handled the estate but I couldn't find anything out. Do you think they would have kept a record at the court house of who received monies?
