Hi, Congratulations, that's great. I do have to let you know something. I have donated quite a bit of Rhyne information for your organization, even though I am not a Rhyne/Glattfelder descendant. I am actually a Hoffman descendant. It is important to tell you that Gaston County, NC did not form until the 1840's. I noticed that a lot of your ancestor's lineages have that they were born in Gaston County, even in to the 1700's. I thought this might be helpful. Again congratulations on your new future baby. Hi Brady, I saw your posting on the Glattfelder-L listing. I also have a web page on these lines. Look at - http://regan.org/ I have created a web site on your lineage so that we can compare notes. Look at the following - http://regan.org/genealogy/temp/brady/ I have also updated the Clodfelter site. Your family is on page - http://regan.org/genealogy/families/glatt/i0106106.htm#i106106 If you see any additions or corrections please send them to me. Thanks. You are my 5th cousin. Keep in touch. Sorry, but I gave you the wrong cemetery name for several Yell County Arkansas burials. I mistakenly wrote the church name not the cemetery name. Those currently listed in the database as buried in Yell County, AR at Mt Vernon cemetery are actually buried in Young Gravelly Cemetery at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist church. They are: Velma May Carpenter, Virgil Manning Carpenter, Fredrick Forester Carpenter, James Oliver Carpenter, Jeamima Isabell Carpenter Pickens, Nima Susie Pickens, Thomas Nima Pickens, Silas Archie Carpenter, Susan L. Cloninger Carpenter, Susannah Clemmer Rhodes, Fanny Rhodes. Sorry for the mistake. Another correction: You have mistakenly listed Mary S as the daughter of Adam Leander and Derinda Cloninger. Their daughter was Lucy A. born Feb 1859 at Pope County, AR. There is a will filed 15 nov 1900 that support their daughter Lucy, an imbecile. The Mary S. listed (born in 1870) is actually the dau of John Richard and Lina Jane Cloninger as you have listed. Another correction: Luther Cloninger was married 3 Sept 1868 not 1869. I double checked the marriage book. I have other Cloninger info. that you don't have listed but haven't had the time to gather it for you due to computer problems. Thanks. Hello Don & Jeanine, I just finished looking at your Gladfelter database. I didn't catch it sooner because I have sort of been out of touch since Monday with such a cold that I didn't feel like doning ANYTHING...even checking my e-mail was too much trouble. I don't hope this is too late, but I realized I never sent you information about my dad, Bruce Earl Snyder, married to Doris Riedel, and son of Marvin and Myrtle Elizabeth Eberly Snyder. Unfortunately, we lost dad on 8/5/2000. He was born on 4/15/1924 in Adamsville. He died at Manor Care South Nursing Home in York, York County, PA. He was buried on September 9th at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. He was a WWII veteran, and enetered Europe at LeHavre, France. I don't know if you can use any of this or not at this late date, but I thought maybe you could put his birth and death dates in. I know you'll do what ever is possible, and if you can't do it for the book, I know you'll get it on line when you can. Thanks a bunch! Don & Jeanie... Just got back from a trip and found your message. I took a quick look at what I submitted on the Willis Glatfelter family and the only thing is see at the moment is that : Virginia R. Glatfelter married to Robert Potts and daughter of Robert Glatfelter.....should be Virginia Rae Glatfelter because she is known by Rae and not Virginia. Thanks for including my information and for providing this web site! Barb Engel "Bloom where you are planted."
Don and Jeanine, Can't believe you've done so much work on this in such a short time. Thanks. A couple of corrections: Willie Mae Rathell (not Rathial, it is an unusual name, maybe this will bring some Rathell researchers out of the woodwork.) Another child of Henry Harold Petermann and Jewell Swinney - Willie Jean Petermann b. 16 Sept 1937 married Thomas Franklin Patrick about 1960. Daughter Martha Leah Patrick b. 15 June 1971. Martha Leah married James Ovid Douthit III John K. Swinney's wife has been identified as Mary P. Cowart (or Coward) m. AL. Thanks again. Betty Ramsey
Jeannie and Don: An addition under Ruth V. Schriver McCoy are her children Robert, Donald, and Phyllis Kimmons. Also under David Grant Schriver's wife Mary Ellen Hooven, her parents were Alenander and Magdalena Fishel Hooven. Thanks. Just got this info, so sorry it's so late!
